20 years old in 1962. Little Jerry Williams was the opening act for Screamin' Jay Hawkins at the Capitol Theater in Portsmouth, Virginia. Another great stage show by WRAP’s number one DJ Jack Holmes. The lights went dim. The coffin wheeled out onto the stage. The casket top would slowly open as his hand creeped out—just as if he were rising from the dead. He would jump out and walk slowly through the audience while scaring them into a wild panic. The rest is history.
